The 25-year-old New York Times bestselling author will release her fourth novel, The Fame Game, on April 3, 2012, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. The Fame Game follows bad girl Madison Parker (from Conrad's original L.A. Candy trilogy), who quickly discovers that Hollywood isn't as glamorous as she thought.
"The tone is going to be slightly darker," Conrad told Us earlier this year. "The first book was written through the eyes of someone who had never been to Hollywood before, who never really aspired toward fame or money. This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that's all she's ever really wanted."
The Fame Game isn't the only book Conrad has in the works. The Hills alum is also penning a followup to Harper Collins' Lauren Conrad Style, titled Lauren Conrad Beauty.
